Harnessing a Holistic CSR Approach to Drive Maximum Impact
Angie Ruddell currently serves as the Engagement and Corporate Social Responsibility Manager at Empower Retirement, the second-largest retirement services provider in the U.S. She leads Empower’s community investments out of the headquarters in Denver, CO, partnering with internal and external stakeholders to build meaningful employee engagement and advance social change. Angie has extensive experience in non-profit management, strategic planning, fundraising, grantmaking, volunteerism, and diversity and inclusion. Before Empower, Angie worked in non-profit development at Warren Village, a Denver organization working with single-parent homeless families, and Children’s Hospital Colorado Foundation.
She received her Bachelor of Arts from Tulane University in New Orleans, LA, and her Corporate Social Responsibility Certification from CU Boulder’s Leeds School of Business. Angie is the Special Projects Co-Chair for the Colorado Women’s Chamber of Commerce Young Professionals board and serves on the programs committee for B:CIVIC, a Colorado collaborative for non-profit and for-profit organizations.
Born in small town California, she currently resides in Denver and loves Colorado. Outside of work, she is an avid hiker, currently training for a multi-day backpacking trip this summer. She manages social media and marketing efforts for her family’s smokehouse in CA (smoked fish to be exact) and is passionate about sustainable supply chain and improving sustainable fishing practices.
